Prof. Dr. Moustapha Hamdi offers you different types of plastic surgery, both for aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. As the term itself says a reconstructive procedure restores or improves the function of a body without damaging its shape. This is for instance the case with the remodeling of a breast after a (partial) amputation.
That as opposed to aesthetic surgery, where the aim is to restore the shape or to create without compromising its function. As an example, rhinoplasty should never alter a patient’s sense of smell.
Eyelid, Facelift, Rhinoplasty or nose correction, Facial treatment, Botox injection, Fillers (filling injections)
Breast lift (Mastopexy), Breast reduction, Breast enlargement with implants, breast augmentation with autologous tissue
Abdominoplasty, Thigh lift, Arm lift, Liposuction
Fat Grafting (Lipofilling)
The fat is collected using liposuction and then used as a filler. This technique can be used for the breasts, face, lips, etc.
Women who wish breast augmentation of up to one cup size, may be eligible to undergo a breast augmentation using lipofilling. An advantage of this technique is that there is no graft material is used, but has the disadvantage that not all of the injected fat-term survival. The results are very natural and permanent (unless considerable weight loss).
In breast lipofilling, fat survival can be better controled if the BRAVA is applied.
The BRAVA is an external bra which was invented by Dr. Khouri from Miami. The BRAVA gently expands a woman’s breast tissue making this breakthrough procedure possible for natural breast augmentation and reconstruction. The procedure begins with the patient wearing BRAVA while she sleeps for a few weeks. Using the BRAVA creates an adequate matrix for fat to be injected later in an outpatient procedure. After a few weeks of BRAVA wear, Prof. Hamdi removes fat from one area of the patient’s body and meticulously injects it back as hundreds of tiny individual droplets at the breast site that has been enlarged by the BRAVA expansion.
Body contouring after major weight loss reduces the excess skin and fat that is left behind from the expansion of skin, loss of fat and lack of tissue elasticity that often occurs after a major weight loss. This sagging skin commonly develops around the face, neck, upper arms, breast, abdomen, buttocks, and thighs and can make your body contour appear irregular and misshapen. If you have undergone dramatic weight loss either through diet and exercise or bariatric surgery, and you are at your optimum weight loss goal, you may be a good candidate for this surgery and may wish to consider undergoing this procedure.
The success of body contouring, whether it is done to reduce, enlarge or lift, is influenced by your age and by the size, shape and skin tone of the area to be treated. Some contouring procedures leave only small, inconspicuous scars. More noticeable scars may result when surgical removal of fat and skin is necessary to achieve your desired result. Most patients find these scars acceptable and enjoy greater self-confidence when wearing a bathing suit or form-fitting clothes.
